Wireless Android Auto has been around for a minute, has it been available for all Android phones though? Not really, originally wireless Android Auto was only available for certain Google Nexus/Pixel phones.

Some resourceful members of the Android community figured out a hack that allows other models to work, but officially not all Android powered phones would be able to use wireless Android Auto. This is all soon coming to an end with the release of Android 11 as per Google’s release here.
A few things to note, your vehicles head unit needs to support wireless Android Auto (duh…) but it will also need to support 5GHz Wi-Fi. If you live outside of the USA, some other countries and regions have restrictions that may not allow the use of wireless Android Auto.
