Utilizing VW’s Car-Net app, iOS 12 users will now be able to use Siri to control certain features of their VW vehicle. Starting off with the basics you will be able to ask Siri to lock and unlock the car, check estimated mileage with how much fuel is in the tank or how much charge is left if it is a electric vehicle.


Adding on further control, users can set Siri Shortcuts to create custom commands such as start/stop charging, set a certain temperature on the climate control or find the location of the car by saying “Siri, where is my car?”

Integration with Siri helps our drivers keep eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.”
To get this added control it will cost you however, a yearly subscription to the Car-Net service will run you $199 a year. They also have a month-to-month plan that costs $17.99. Besides the Siri integration though you would also get access to other features such as crash notification, the ability to set spend and boundary alerts and roadside assistance.
