In the iOS 14.5 beta users are now able to report accidents, speed traps and hazards on your commute. Just like Waze you can report an incident on screen by tapping the corresponding button but additionally you can use Siri voice commands to report an incident as well.


These features are able to be used by using the phone as well as being accessed through Apple CarPlay.

Adding crowd sourced alerts is one more step in Appleās goal to make Maps a solid platform. Considering the debacle that was Apple Maps launch in 2012 with iOS 6, causing Tim Cook to issue an apology as well as the recommendation to download the Bing maps app instead of using Apple Maps.
