While Harley Davidson wasn’t the first to embrace the connected lifestyle (Honda added Apple CarPlay compatibility to their Goldwing motorcycle in 2017) they have fully jumped in by this point. Already having Apple CarPlay connectivity with their Boom! Box GTS Infotainment System, they recently announced they are adding in Android Auto support as well.
For riders to use Android Auto they will plug in and stow their phones in a dedicated compartment, the same as if they were to use Apple CarPlay. This feature will be available to all new touring bikes and some older models that have the Boom! Box GTS system (an updated is required for this). Surprisingly however Android Auto will not be compatible with their all- new electric motorcycle, the Livewire.
