Congrats to Google for helping make our roads just a little bit safer. With over 10 million Android Auto installs, their smart driving companion is doing its job to keep drivers eyes on the road. Since launching in 2015 there has been a steady stream of updates, most notably adding Waze as a navigation option.

As announced during the 2017 Google I/O developer conference, wireless Android Auto will soon be available for cars equipped with WiFi. Currently the only auto manufacturer to offer a wireless phone infotainment option is BMW but that is Apple CarPlay only.
With more and more vehicles coming with a Android Auto compatibility, it is clear that your phone will continue to be the center point form your driving infotainment options.
