Pioneer Launches 5 New CarPlay and Android Auto Stereos – Now with Waze

Pioneer has the announced the upcoming launch of five new Apple CarPlay and Android Auto NEX car stereos for 2017, including the first ever single-DIN CarPlay and Android Auto head unit. With a MSRP of $600 the AVH-3300NEX single-din has a 7” capacitive fold out display making CarPlay and Android Auto accessible to older vehicles that don’t have the space to fit a double-DIN display.

Control Waze from your in-dash NEX display

Now with these five new Pioneer NEX receivers, regardless of having an Android phone or iPhone you will be able to use Waze simply by plugging in your phone and launching the Pioneer AppRadio Mode+ app. Looks like Pioneer is giving the people what they want.

Additional Spotify and Pandora Integration

Another new feature will be the ability to control the Spotify app as a dedicated source directly from the head unit display. For Pandora you will now be able to create new Pandora stations from the currently playing song or artist.

Backup Camera Compatible

If your car already has a backup camera or you would like to add one, all of these new receivers are backup camera ready.
